D-04 FRIENDSHIP DECORATION
  Huy Chương Hữu nghị

The Friendship Decoration was established on 20 June 1960 to reward foreigners who have supported and helped the Vietnamese people in the construction and defence of the country. It could be awarded for foreigners who worked within Vietnam or outside Vietnam. An Order was established in 1977. (for the Order see here)

A similar medal, Solidarity Solidarity Against American Aggression Decoration (Huy Chương Đoàn Kết Chiến Thắng Giặc Mỹ), could be it's predecessor. (see here)

It was continued in the 2003 reorganization of SRV awards system.
